On the 14th November 2022, our beautiful town of Eugowra was hit by a devastating flash flood, the likes of which has never been seen here. It hit with such speed that there was no way to prepare and over 150 people were airlifted to safety. 50% of our town was severly damaged by the water.

We are slowly but surely rebuilding our community, but we need your help!

You can contribute to our GIVIT Eugowra Flood Appeal by clicking on the donate button below.

We have been overwhelmed with donations of items and are no longer able to accept these. However, any funds that can be donated to the GIVIT Eugowra Flood Appeal will be gratefully accepted and will assist residents to replace the household items they lost in the flash flood. We have a target of $5 million to do this and are currently at around $830,000. All of which is already back out in the community as vouchers for household items.

Our businesses are also coming back! The Fat Parcel Food Van is back up and running as is the Rural Transaction Centre (post office and bank), Eugowra Newsagency & Supermarket and Craft on the Creek. It’s well worth a drive to visit us and support our local businesses!

The Eugowra Cookbook is now available for purchase!

The cookbook raises funds for the Eugowra Promotion and Progress Association, which directly supports our community.

We want you back in Eugowra and look forward to seeing you on your next visit!

Jack and Alison are Ambulance officers in the western NSW town of Eugowra. Volunteers are community spirited people who contribute personal effort, time and skill to enable NSW Ambulance to extend the availability of services to those in isolated communities. Like our workforce volunteer ambulance officers come from different occupations, educational backgrounds and life experiences.
